In recent roles, Kok Hong has been instrumental in project delivery, serving as a technical lead for a hospital’s ELV system and an ICT-integrated infrastructure campus design build tender project. He has overseen the design, implementation, testing, integration, and commissioning of data centres, structured cabling systems, and ICT-integrated infrastructure for an airport terminal engineering construction project. Additionally, he has contributed to the conceptualization and design of ICT-integrated building facility infrastructure for an industry estate engineering consulting project.

In his last full-time position as a consultant for an engineering consultancy firm, Kok Hong enhanced the IT security operations for an automatic fare collection system infrastructure. Following this role, he took a career break during the COVID-19 pandemic to focus on self-improvement development in data science, cloud security and auditing, and platform engineering while exploring Microsoft’s digital transformation and seeking part-time ICT job opportunities.
